Matthew 6:8-14

⁸Don’t be like them, because your Father knows the things you need before you ask him.^(A)

The Lord’s Prayer

⁹“Therefore, you should pray like this: ^(B)

Our Father in heaven,
your name be honored as holy.^(C)
¹⁰Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.^(D)
¹¹Give us today our daily bread.^[a]
¹²And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.^(E)
¹³And do not bring us into^[b] temptation,^(F)
but deliver us from the evil one.^[c]^(G)

¹⁴“For if you forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will forgive you as well.^(H)
